I almost forgot.

If you've wondered what I've been all *about* in my fannish absence, it's been pretty much All Christian Bale, all the time. Talk about a new obsession. The best friend and I are the equivalent of monkeys on viagra for this man, practically humping furniture. It's really embarrassing if you step outside your hormonal self and see what you've become. But!!!

I have seen full frontal pictures of The Bale and...oh my.

Have y'all seen those? I mean, I think we've all see the bounce-a-quarter-off-his-ass screencaps of the shower scene in American Psycho, but...

I found it impressive, for the girl who mostly just laughs at naked me. Cause they *do* look funny, y'all.

Let me know if y'all haven't seen them and I'll dig out my link.

I'm slowly starting to warm up to Bale - thanks to Batman and Velvet Goldmine - but OMG THOSE PICTURES SCARE THE BEJESUS OUT OF ME.

I seriously... that movie just... I CAN'T.

I still haven't seen the movie, can you believe that? I watched VG and that's a chunk of my life I'll never get back (though it would've been awesome had I been on drugs and, I think). I'm very excited about that New World movie, even though it's now apparently been pushed back to a January release date, worldwide. Grrrrr. But! Oscar contention, so...

Anyway, I need to see AP, like, yesterday. Cause he looks batshit *insane* in all these caps. Hee.

Oh, dude, for serious. He's COMPLETELY BANANAS, and that's the film that made it completely impossible for me to even look at him without getting the heebies until I saw Batman Begins.

But BB changes *everything*, doesn't it? Sometimes, I pull out the old Bruce/Dick Bruce/Lex and Bruce/everybody (*rowr* ) manips you did for my Gotham story and I just get all swoony. Cause...WOOT.

And hot damn. Did you read where Bale said that he'd love to see a PG-13 *and* R-rated version of Batman made so they could explore Batman's darker side and Batman/Bruce's sexuality?

He actually strikes me as a rather clever, interesting, down-to-earth sort of guy, and I like that about him. Reading his interviews has really helped get over my aversion, I think. Plus... accent. *melts*

What I dig about the accent is how he so effortlessly *sheds* the damned thing. I mean, he didn't want to do Batman interviews in his own accent because he thought that would be jarring for people to hear Batman with some Welsh accent.

I dig that kind of obsession.

See, as gifted as I'm sure he is with accents, at first, I didn't like his "American" accent, because it sounded like the only way he could do it was to make his voice unnaturally low... it just bugged me. But, seriously, Batman Begins is where it really turned around for me, and the American finally sounded natural and right.

I was impressed that he kept the accent up for interviews and such; it really shows he's thinking about everything, all aspects of his performances, and that's definitely endearing.

We are drying out today. Actually, the NE corner of the state didn't get much more than rain. Just to the west of us and in Atlanta, there were hellacious tornadoes and storms all night, but here, not so much. Just rain. And today, lots and lots of wind as it blows northeast and away from us.

Poor, poor Mississippi and Louisiana, though.
